 Conference Call Minutes of 3/5/2010

The meeting was called to order at 9:00 AM MST by Cheryl R. Jurgens.

 

 

INVESTIGATIVE CASE

 

Ms. Peel presented to the Board case I-SWO-2010-19 for clarification and direction. After discussion, the Board directed Ms. Peel to send case I-SWO-2010-19 to the Attorney General’s Office.     

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

ASWB SPRING MEETING

 

The association of Social Work Boards spring meeting is May 13 – 16, 2010 at Charleston, South Carolina. It was moved by Mr. Payne that Kristopher Walton attend the ASWB spring meeting and that the Board pay for his expenses under the state regulations. Seconded by Ms. Magera, motion carried.

 

AGENDA

 

It was moved by Mr. Payne that the Board amend the agenda to add discussion of legislation. The reason this was not on the original agenda was that the item came as a result of a question asked about legislation by a Board member. Seconded by Ms. Ring, motion carried.

 

LEGISLATION

 

Ms. Cory informed the Board that the Board’s proposed legislation has been sent to the amending order for some changes. Mr. Payne testified on behalf of the bill

at the House Health and Welfare Committee. Representative Gibbs will be carrying the bill and the Board will be notified when it goes before the Senate Committee.

 

ADJOURNMENT

 

It was moved by Mr. Payne that the meeting adjourn at 9:55 AM MST. Seconded by Ms. Ring, motion carried.
