Meeting Minutes of August 24, 2006

The Idaho State Board of Social Work Examiners meeting was called to order at 3:34 p.m., Thursday, August 24, 2006 at the Bureau of Occupational Licenses, Owyhee Plaza, 1109 Main Street, Suite 220, Boise, Idaho.

Robert Payne and Cheryl R. Jurgens, Board members, absent, excused.

Budd Hetrick presented and discussed an investigative complaint report to the Board for review and consideration.

For Board Determination:

 

Case No. SWO-P5-1-2006-1:  Following review it was moved by Ms. Ring to accept the recommendations of the Bureau for closure.  Seconded by Ms. Burt-Patterson, motion carried.

 

Case No. SWO-P4-2-2006-8:  Following review it was moved by Ms. Magera to accept the Bureauís recommendation for closure.  Seconded by Ms. Burt-Patterson, motion carried.

 

Case No. SWO-B2C-4-2006-11:  Following review it was moved by Ms. Burt-Patterson to accept the Bureauís recommendation for closure.  Seconded by Ms. Ring, motion carried.

 

Case No. SWO-B1-4-2006-14:  Following review it was moved by Ms. Magera to accept the Bureauís recommendations for closure.  Seconded by Ms. Burt-Patterson, motion carried.

 

Case No. SWO-P4B-4-2006-16:  Following review it was moved by Ms. Ring to accept the Bureauís recommendations for closure.  Seconded by Ms. Burt-Patterson, motion carried.
 

Formal Disciplinary Action

After full review and discussion of case nos. SWO-2005-3 and SWO-2006-2 the Board made the following motions:

Case No. SWO-2006-2:  Ms. Ring moved to adopt the Hearing Officerís Findings of Fact, Conclusions of Law.  That the license and renewal rights for Lisa K. Braswell be suspended for a period of five (5) years.  Ms. Braswell must pay the costs and fees incurred and a fine in the amount of Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($750).  Ms Braswell must meet with the Board prior to any reinstatement. 

Case No. SWO-2005-3:  Moved by Ms. Ring to adopt the Hearing Officerís Findings of Fact, Conclusions of Law.  That the license and renewal rights for Marlene Skunkcap be suspended for a period of three (3) years.  Ms. Skunkcap must pay costs and attorney fees incurred.  Ms. Skunkcap must meet with the Board prior to any reinstatement.

Moved by Ms. Powers to adjourn the meeting.  Seconded by Ms. Ring motion carried.  The time being 4:22 p.m.
