Meeting was called to order at 1:30 PM MDT by Andrew J. Seitz.
Mary R. Reis was welcomed to the Board as the new lay member.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Ms. Mecier moved to approve the minutes of June 19, 2008 conference call. Ms. Allen seconded, and it carried.
GUIDANCE ON INVESTIGATIVE FILES
Attorney General presentation
Mr. Bell moved to approve the stipulated agreement and have Chairman Seitz sign on behalf of the Board. Ms. O’Donnell seconded, and it carried.
Ms. Mecier moved to approve the revised contract provided for Board review. Mr. Bell seconded, and it carried.
The Bureau presented the following investigative reports:
Ms. O’Donnell moved to accept the recommendation to send a letter to the company and a warning letter to the licensees to be aware of the advertising practices with employers. Ms. Mecier seconded, and it carried.
Mr. Bell moved to table this until the next meeting. Ms. Allen seconded, and it carried.
Provisional Permit Instruction Page Revisions:
Discussion was held on the provisional permit application instruction sheet additions. Ms. Allen moved to table this until the September 11, 2008 meeting, giving the Board and Bureau time to review in the instruction page and make the updates accurate and consistent with the law. Ms. Mecier seconded, and it carried.
Dual Licensure for Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists:
The Board directs that for those holding both AUD and SLP licenses, that they may be issued one paper license listing both licenses as a dual license and be charged one fee in accordance with Idaho Code 54-2917.
Ms. O’Donnell moved to go into executive session for review of applications per Idaho Code 67-2345 (1) (d). Ms. Allen seconded the motion. Aye votes: Mr. Bell, Ms. Allen, Ms. O’Donnell, Mr. Seitz, Ms. Mecier, and Ms. Reis. Nay votes: none. Motion carried.
Ms. Mecier moved to come out of executive session, Ms. Reis seconded. Aye votes: Mr. Bell, Ms. Allen, Ms. O’Donnell, Mr. Seitz, Ms. Mecier, and Ms. Reis. Nay votes: none. Motion carried.

The Board reviewed the following and requested more information from candidates 901102666, and 901102977.
Ms. Allen seconded the motion, and it carried.
The next meeting is scheduled for September 11, 2008 at 1:30 MDT.
1. Rule/Law change for definition and use of term ”audioprosthologist”
2. Case SHS-2008-4
3. Provisional Permit application sheet updated.
4. Temporary Provisional permits be issued before graduation so that permit holders and have the permits for employment right out of college.
Ms. O’Donnell moved to adjourn the meeting at 2:45 p.m. Ms. Allen seconded the motion, and it carried.
