Vice-Chairman Olenick called the conference call to order at 1p.m.

A compromise of the proposed legislation from Idaho Speech-Hearing Association (ISHA) for licensure of Audiologists and Speech Pathologists was presented to the Hearing Aid Dealers and Fitters Board.

1. The organization for licensing of Audiologists and Speech Pathologists would be through the Bureau of Occupational Licenses.

2. A combined Board of three Speech Pathologists, two Audiologists, one Hearing Aid Dealer and Fitter and one Public Member was proposed.

3. Idaho is the only state that does not license Audiologists or Speech Pathologists.

4. It is possible for the Hearing Aid Dealer and Fitters Board of Examiners be disbanded as of June 30, 2005 and a new Board appointed after July 1, 2005.
