NEW BUSINESS

Correspondence Regarding Certificate of Removal Registration

The Board reviewed correspondence received from Washington State concerning the state issued Certificate of Removal Registration. The registration allows funeral establishments licensed in a state contiguous to Washington to remove human remains from Washington prior to submitting and filing a Certificate of Death. The Board determined it cannot make that decision based on Idaho Statute 54-1119, which states the Department of Health and Welfare shall have the right to control the handling of dead bodies. A motion was made by Mr. Buck and seconded by Mr. Hutton that a letter be sent to the State of Washington advising them of this statute. The motion carried.

CE COURSES

The Board reviewed a CEU provider request from Kenmore Square Institute. Upon review the Board denied the request. A motion was made by Mr. Buck and seconded by Mr. Hutton a letter be sent to the Institute thanking them for submitting the materials for review. The motion carried.
