APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A motion was made by Ms. Verveckken to approve the minutes of May 12, 2010. Seconded by Ms. Wiens, motion carried.
Ms. Cory presented the legislative report. †The Boardís temporary rule regarding felonies has been approved. Once it has been published, it will be posted on the Boardís website.† Ms. Cory explained that the House passed HCR 51 which outlines eight specific reasons that agencies should use as a guideline when considering changes to the rules. It was passed by the House, but was not passed by Senate. †She also explained that a law was passed regarding documents incorporated by reference.
Ms. Cory informed the Board
members that the Bureauís office will be moving next week to the
Ms. Cory presented the financial report to members of the Board, which showed a balance of $3,819.76 as of 5/31/2010.
The Board reviewed and discussed the sample certificate.
A motion was made by Ms. Wiens to approve the certificate as presented. Seconded by Ms. Verveckken, motion carried.
Ms. Peel handed out a chart regarding the complaint process and it will be discussed at the next meeting.
Ms. Cory explained to the Board the process of Board appointments. The appointments are handled by the Governorís Office and the Board usually does not get involved. Dr. Blea asked that the Board consider replacing him due to not being available for meetings. The Board agreed that they would like for him to continue sitting on the Board and attend when his schedule allows.
The Board reviewed correspondence from Nancy Draznin regarding midwives ordering ultrasounds. The Board directed Mr. Klein to draft a response letter and send to the Board Chair for review.
A motion was made by Ms. Wiens that the Board go into executive session under Idaho Code ß 67-2345(1)(d) to consider records that are exempt from disclosure under the Idaho Public Records Law. The purpose of the Executive Session was to consider license application materials. Seconded by Ms. Verveckken. The vote was: Mr. Wiens, aye; Ms. Verveckken, aye; Ms. Bartlett, aye; and Ms. Rawlings, aye. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Ms. Bartlett to come out of executive session. Seconded by Ms. Verveckken. The vote was: Mr. Wiens, aye; Ms. Verveckken, aye; Ms. Bartlett, aye; and Ms. Rawlings, aye. Motion carried.
A motion was by Ms. Verveckken to approve 13 CPM applications, six grandmother applications and two applications are pending. Seconded by Ms. Bartlett, motion carried.
