Licensure Application Process
Idaho law requires the licensure of all persons who practice or offer to practice psychology in the State of Idaho. Licensure is available through both endorsement and examination. All applicants must certify under oath that they have reviewed and will abide by the laws, rules, and ethics governing the practice of psychology.
In order to obtain a license to practice psychology in Idaho, a completed application must be submitted to the Board. Said application must include satisfactory documentation of:
acceptable moral character;
a doctoral degree from an accredited school;
2 years of acceptable supervision experience;
successful completion of the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP): and
the required fees.
Licensure may also be obtained if you hold a current Certificate of Professional Qualification from ASPPB (see Section 54-2312, Idaho Code), or if you meet the requirements as a Senior Psychologist (see Section 54-2312A, Idaho Code).
Idaho Licensed psychologists may also extend their services through the use of Service Extenders.
