License Renewal
The most efficient way to
submit your renewal application and payment of fees is through the
ONLINE
renewal system.
Application to renew your
license must be made before your birth date each year in order for your license
to remain valid. You bear the total responsibility of insuring that a timely
and complete renewal application is submitted. Failure to
submit a completed
application to renew your license before the expiration date
will result in the cancellation of your license.
License renewal
applications are mailed approximately six weeks before your license expiration
date. This renewal notice is sent to your mailing address of record and
MUST BE COMPLETED AND RETURNED WITH PAYMENT. If you do not receive a
renewal notice, you may contact the Bureau
to confirm your mailing address and have a duplicate notice sent to you. Failure
to receive a renewal form does not exempt you from the renewal requirement.
Do not wait until the last minute to request a duplicate.
When submitting your renewal application to the Bureau office, you must include responses to all questions, your social security number, your signature and the appropriate fee(s). Compliance with the continuing education requirement will also be necessary. Everything must be received by the Bureau before the expiration of your license. DO NOT SEND ORIGINALS OR COPIES OF CONTINUING EDUCATION CERTIFICATES TO THE BUREAU UNLESS YOU ARE BEING AUDITED. Each licensee must maintain possession of documentary evidence of compliance with the CE requirements. The Board will conduct random audits to insure compliance with those requirements.
AUDITS
The Board conducts annual audits to insure compliance with the continuing education requirements. Audits may be initiated anytime after you renew your license. By signing your renewal application, and answering "Yes" to the question that you have met the continuing education requirements, you are certifying to the Board that you have already obtained proof of having completed the required continuing education.
IF YOU HAVE NOT YET MET THE CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENT, DO NOT SUBMIT A RENEWAL APPLICATION INDICATING THAT YOU HAVE. Submitting a fraudulent application for licensure is grounds for discipline against your right to practice.
If you are audited, you must submit a listing of all continuing education courses completed during the previous year AND proof of attendance documentation for each course.
A water or wastewater licensee may carryover a maximum of six (6) hours of continuing education to meet the next year’s continuing education requirement. The same hours may not be carried forward more than one (1) renewal cycle. If you are audited and you carried forward hours, you must submit complete documentation for both the audit period and for the previous year.Failure to submit the required documentation may result in Board action against your right to licensure.
You should review the the Board rules regarding continuing education before signing up for any continuing education offerings.
The most efficient way to
submit your renewal application and payment of fees is through the
ONLINE
renewal system. There are no additional fees for this service.
The renewal fee is $45.00 and will apply towards a 12 month license.
If you have questions about renewal, you may e-mail the Bureau office.
