Meeting Minutes of May 11, 2004 Conference Call

Robert Payne called the meeting to order at 10:10 a.m.  

Vicki Powers moved to enter executive session to discuss an applicant file exempt from public disclosure.  Cheryl Jurgens seconded and the motion carried. Rhonda Murray recused herself from discussion and voting.  

Ms. Jurgens moved to enter regular session.  Carolyn Burt-Patterson seconded and the motion carried.  

Ms. Jurgens moved to recommend that the Board proceed for a full hearing for social work applicant SWOA-25188.  No second and motion died.  

Ms. Burt-Patterson moved that the Board issue a license for applicant SWOA-25188 with a probationary period of 2 years that requires taking two separate ethics courses that are 4 hours each for each year of probation specifically dealing in boundary issues.  This is above the required continuing education for renewal.  Submit written reports every six months regarding nature of practice and any other issues of concerns.  No second and motion died.  

The Board will schedule another conference call meeting next week.  

Rhonda Murray moved to enter executive session to discuss applicant file exempt from public disclosure.  Ms. Burt-Patterson seconded and the motion carried.  

Ms. Murray moved to enter regular session.  Ms. Burt-Patterson seconded and the motion carried.  

Ms. Murray moved to grant Darren Nickerson a clinical social work license.  Ms. Burt-Patterson seconded and the motion carried.  

Ms. Murray moved to accept the Consent Agreement for SWO-2004-3.  Ms. Burt-Patterson seconded and the motion carried.  

Ms. Murray moved that the Board allow Ms. Burt-Patterson to sign the Consent Agreement on behalf of the Board Chair.  Ms. Burt-Patterson seconded and the motion carried.  

Conference call meeting adjourned at 11:50 a.m.
