Chairman Kenneth Salzman called the meeting
to order at 8:00 a.m.
NEW BOARD MEMBER
The Board welcomed Rhonda Murray.
LETTER FROM HEALTH & WELFARE
The Board discussed the letter received from Loretta Todd, Interim Bureau Chief for the Department of Health and Welfare Bureau of Facility Standards. The letter requested specific information regarding Section 54-3215, Idaho Code.
Thomas Limbaugh stated he would contact Senator Stegner and the Governor’s office and report back to the Board. Virginia Dickman was directed to write a response to Loretta Todd, with copies sent to: Luverne Shull, Attorney at Law; Scott Spears, Idaho Health Care Association and Willard Abbott, Deputy Attorney General. The Board will invite Loretta Todd, Luverne Shull and Scott Spears and anyone else involved, to the board meeting of August 1, 2000 to discuss the issues addressed in the letter.
SOCIAL WORK GRADUATE
Kenneth Salzman spoke to a social work
graduate from Lewis-Clark College with some concerns regarding his past history.
The Board stated the graduate must make application in order for the
Board to properly review his concerns.
Robert Payne moved to adjourn the meeting
and Virginia Dickman seconded the motion, motion carried.
Meeting adjourned at 9:00 a.m. May 15, 2000.
