Minutes

The Idaho Real Estate Appraiser Board discussed the interpretation of Idaho Code 54-4109 regarding the retention of appraisal documents by Idaho licensed or certified real estate appraisers.

After a full discussion it was moved by Ruby Stroschein, seconded by Henri LeMoyne and approved by the board that 54-4109 regarding retention of records is interpreted to only apply to a state licensed or certified appraiser.  Further, the statute requires that a state licensed or certified appraiser must retain a copy of all written contracts engaging their services and all reports and supporting data assembled and formulated in preparation of the appraisal reports.  The language of the statute would allow a non-engaged state licensed or certified appraiser who worked on or signed an appraisal report to establish by contract with engaged appraiser the availability of said reports and data if required to produce said documentation.

Moved by Ruby Stroschein, seconded by Henri LeMoyne and carried the meeting be adjourned.

Meeting adjourned at 9:55 am
