Mary McGown moved to approve the July 26, 2001
board meeting minutes correcting the word expensive to read expenses.
Gregg Sturtevant seconded, and the motion carried.
NEW BUREAU CHIEF
Budd Hetrick introduced the Bureau’s new Bureau
Chief, Rayola Jacobsen. Ms.
Jacobsen shared with the Board her background experiences prior to starting with
the Bureau.
FINANCE REPORT
Budd Hetrick reported to the Board that the
finance report is not complete at this time and will be mailed to the members
along with the budget for fiscal year 2002.
The Board has the option of holding a conference call if there are any
questions.
INVESTIGATIONS
Budd Hetrick reported from John Kersey, Chief
Investigator that no complaints have been received.
LEGISLATURE
Mary McGown gave Rayola Jacobsen an update on the
history and process of the law changes that will be presented at the 2002
Legislature. The ASLA will be
contacting allied professions and obtaining letters of support to makeup a
package to give to the legislative committee.
Also a breakfast is planned for the legislators on January 7, 2002.
CANCELLED LICENSES
The Board reviewed a list of cancelled landscape
architect licenses. Letters were
mailed to licensees whose licenses were cancelled July 1, 2001 for non-renewal.
JUNE LARE
The Board reviewed the June LARE exams.
Charles Edwards passed all sections and was issued license LA-285.
APPLICATIONS
The following applications were approved for exam:
Jacob Clark
Cody Riddle
Approved by endorsement:
Steven Koch
Mary McGown moved to adjourn meeting at 11:15 a.m. Gregg Sturtevant seconded, and the motion carried.
