Conference Call

January 7, 1999

Call commenced at 8:00 a.m. Roll call: Carol Martin, Christy Stutzke, Geneal Thompson, Patrick Ulsh, Roger Hales, Budd A. Hetrick, John Kersey, and Cherie Simpson.

Moved by Ms. Stutzke that Board go into executive session to discuss litigation. Seconded by Mr. Hicks, carried.

Moved by Ms. Stutzke that Board come out of executive session. Seconded by Mr. Ulsh, carried.

Moved by Ms. Stutzke that Alaina Cameron be allowed to keep the hours she acquired from September 14, 1998. Seconded by Ms. Thompson, carried.

Moved by Mr. Hicks that Dee Dee’s Meridian School of Beauty be sent a letter of reprimand regarding the training of a student not properly registered with the Board. Seconded by Mr. Ulsh, carried.

The Board discussed and received clarification in the roles the Attorney General’s office and Hamlin and Sasser play with the Board and the Bureau. Ms. Martin stated that she was happy with the services of Hamlin and Sassser.

Moved by Mr. Hicks that the contract between the test site and the Board be approved with the exception of item 10 (Hold harmless and Indemnification) to be replaced with the wording used on the sample letter with U of I. Seconded by Ms. Stutzke, carried.
