Demonstrator Permit Process
Idaho law (54-827) & rule (176) authorizes the issuance of a temporary permit which allows a person to demonstrate or teach cosmetology.
When a permit is requested for educational or demonstration purposes by a licensed school on behalf of its students, the permit shall specify the participating students and the time and location of the event. The permit will be limited to those individuals named and to the time and place specified. Each school that sends students to an event outside the training facility in which they are enrolled, and where the students will be practicing or demonstrating cosmetology, must obtain a permit for those students.
Application for demonstration permits must be received by the Bureau at least seven (7) days prior to the event. Please review the appropriate laws & rules before planning such an event and submitting an application.
There is a fee required for a Demonstrator Permit. Please read the application carefully.
If you are sponsoring an event that will use currently licensed persons as demonstrators, download the Demonstrator Permit Application.
