Licensure Application

Idaho law requires the licensure of all persons who practice or offer to practice chiropractic in the State of Idaho. Licensure is available through both endorsement and examination.  Those who have submitted applications for licensure may also apply for a Temporary Permit, which allows supervised practice while an application is being processed.

As of July 1, 1999 the new applicants must now obtain certification of their passage of Parts I, II, III, & IV of the National Board Examination.  Those applying for licensure by endorsement must provide certification of passage of the National Board Examination Parts I, II, III, & Physiotherapy, and the National Board Special Purposes Examination for Chiropractic (SPEC). 

Those who have completed their course of study may apply for registration to serve their internship in Idaho.  Intern Registration allows limited practice under supervision. (see Rule 551)

Those who have submitted application for licensure may be eligible for a Temporary Permit.  A Temporary Permit allows supervised practice until examination and licensure. (see Rule 552)

All applicants will be required to sign an affidavit swearing under oath that they have fully reviewed, understand, and will abide by the Idaho Chiropractic Act and the Board Rules.
