                SUBJECT:         Complaint Investigation Report 

FY2007: To date, four (4) complaints have been received and are under investigation.

FY2006: Eleven (11) complaints were received. Of those, four (4) have been closed; two (2) have been referred for legal review; and five (5) remain under investigation.

FY 2005: Seventeen (17) complaints were received. Of those, six (6) have been closed; ten (10) remain under investigation; and one awaits Board determination.

FY 2004: Twenty-two (22) complaints were received. Of those, fourteen (14) have been closed;  seven (7) were referred for legal review;  and one (1) remains under investigation.   

For Board Determination:

CHI-L1-4-2005-6            C alleged R was engaging in unlicensed practice and advertising in phone book. Attempts to contact the R were unsuccessful, as the phone # did not work. C was asked to provide additional information. INV revealed that, during the course of the investigation, R was killed in a car accident. While the advertising complaint was substantiated, IBOL recommends the Board authorize closure.
