All licensure examinations are held at a time and place as determined by the Board. Both practical and theory examinations are administered on exam day.
1. The application for examination must be postmarked at least 30 days before the examination date. Be sure the application is completely filled out and the required fees are attached.
2. The school must send the final record of instruction and the certificate of graduation for each applicant directly to the Board. This record must be received before an applicant will be scheduled for the examination.
Applicants for examination must submit an
application that is
1. complete;
2. includes the required fee; and
3. postmarked before
the deadline date in order to be scheduled for examination.
Applicants are scheduled for examination based on either the date an application is received by the BOL, or the date the application is postmarked. Once your application and fee is approved, you will be sent an Exam Notification Letter advising that you have been scheduled for examination. The letter will note the date, time, and place of the examination.
EXAMINATION FAILURE
If you have previously failed all or any part of the examination, you must make application for re-examination. A complete application and fee must be submitted to the Bureau before you will be allowed to re-examine.
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ALL EXAMINATION CANDIDATES: Once you are scheduled for examination, you must complete your examination by the date noted in your Exam Notification Letter. Your approval for examination will expire on the date noted in your letter, and reapplication will be necessary.
