Meeting Minutes of November 22, 2004

                                    Kim Aksamit, Secretary

Leslie Thorson called the meeting to order at 1:07 p.m. 

Moved by Mr. Park to accept the minutes from May 24, 2004 and September 13, 2004, seconded by Ms. Thorson; motion carried.

Moved by Mr. Park to accept the financial report, seconded by Ms. Thorson; motion carried.

Moved by Mr. Park to accept the 2004- 2005 contract, seconded by Ms. Thorson; motion carried. 

Moved by Mr. Park to have Ms. Rosen take an additional 100 hours of training in a School of Barbering and then apply for the Barber Stylist license and take the exam, seconded by Ms. Thorson; motion carried. 

Moved by Mr. Park to accept proposed changes to law 54-507 and 54-521, seconded by Ms. Thorson; motion carried.

The Bureau brought to the boards attention to combine the Barber and Cosmetology Boards.

Moved by Ms. Thorson to decline the suggestion of the Bureau to combine the Barber and Cosmetology boards, seconded by Mr. Park; motion carried.

Mr. Negaard spoke on behalf of the Cosmetology Board that they are in support of combining the two boards.
