Marilyn London, Secretary

LEGISLATION
Thomas Limbaugh informed the Board that the proposed Barber Bill met with some legislative objection in the following areas: increasing the education requirement to a high school diploma; the 1200 hour training requirement for a barber license; the reference to "temperate habits"; allowing the cancellation of a license due to student loan default.
Curtis Park moved to adopt the following changes: change the high school diploma requirement back to 10 th grade education, change the 1200 hours of training for a barber to 900 hours, remove the term temperate habits, and remove the section referring to school loan default. Cher Stone seconded, and the motion carried.
The conference call adjourned at 11:45 a.m.
