IDAHO STATE ATHLETIC COMMISSION

Meeting was called to order at 1:30 p.m.

Commissioner present: Tom Katsilometes

Bureau staff present:  Tana Cory, Bureau Chief; Budd Hetrick, Deputy Bureau Chief; 

Kim Aksamit, Technical Records Specialist.

Others present:  Karl Klein, Deputy Attorney General; Ralph Jones; Ray Perales; Phil Whiting; Jeremy Burthch; Nate Pettit; Ted Welch, KICK International; and Ken Butler.

Ray Perales presented to the commission a request for USA Mixed Martial Arts being considered as an approved amateur sanctioning body, no decision was made.

Ms. Cory presented the legislative report.

Tom Katsilometes advised that non-profit amateur organizations should contact their representative for assistance in preparing legislation to allow money to be given to the amateur organizations.

Mr. Hetrick presented the financial report.

For Commission determination

ATC-P3-2007-6 Tom Katsilometes accepts the recommendation of IBOL and authorizes closure.

Tom Katsilometes moved to approve the addendum to the FY2008 contract.

Disciplinary Action

Karl Klein, Deputy Attorney General presented a memorandum to the commission.  

ATC-2008-1- Tom Katsilometes moved to accept the recommendation of the Attorney Generals Office as presented.

Ted Welch with KICK International addressed the Commission requesting approval as a sanctioning body.  No action was taken.

Tom Katsilometes requested to go into executive session per Idaho Code 67-2345 (1)(d), to consider records that  are exempt from disclosure.

Tom Katsilometes requested to come out of executive session.

Tom Katsilometes reviewed the application for Josh Queen and approved the application for licensure.
