Idaho State Board of Acupuncture
Meeting Minutes of August 23, 1999
The State Board of Acupuncture conference call was called to order at 12:00 p.m., Monday, August 23, 1999 at the Bureau of Occupational Licenses, Owyhee Plaza, 1109 Main Street, Suite 220, Boise, Idaho.

The purpose of the conference call is to review and accept the applications for licensure/certification and that the proposed rules be submitted as temporary and proposed rules.
Application
Moved by Tess Hahn, seconded by Maggie Blair and carried that the changes in the application made by Rand Peebles be accepted.
Moved by Maggie Blair, seconded by Rand Peebles and carried that on page five of the application under Photograph, the wording be changed to read "Please attach an original passport style photograph of yourself below".
Moved by Rand Peebles, seconded by Jack Long and carried that the Board accepts the application as modified.
Temporary Rules
Ms. Westberg explained the process that when the Board adopts temporary rules, they are effective and in full force at the time the Board adopts them as temporary rules. The rulemaking process is usually to submit temporary rules for publication as both temporary and proposed rules. This process is less expensive and when approved by the legislature allows the rules to become permanent rules, all in one publication and legislative review.
Moved by Maggie Blair, seconded by Rand Peebles and carried that the Board submit their rules as both temporary and permanent rules.
Meeting Date
The next board meeting date was set for September 24, 1999 at the Bureau of Occupational Licenses, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Moved by Jack Long, seconded by Tess Hahn and carried that the conference call adjourns, the time being 1:10 p.m.
