                     Minutes of September 9, 2003                

The Idaho State Board of Acupuncture conference call was called to order at 8:12 a.m., Tuesday, September 9, 2003 at the Bureau of Occupational Licenses, Owyhee Plaza, 1109 Main Street, Suite 220, Boise, Idaho. 

Roll Call:            Therese Hahn, Chair

                        Rosemary Yocum, Board Member

                        John Downey, Board Member

                        Jean Kuty, Board Member

Bureau Staff: Rayola Jacobsen, Bureau Chief 

                        Roger Hales, Administrative Attorney

                        Marcie McGinty, Administrative Assistant

Rand L. Peebles, board member, absent, excused. 

Minutes 

ACU-2003-1:  Moved by Rosemary Yocum, seconded by John Downey and carried that the Board does accept the Hearing Officers Findings of Fact and Conclusion Of Law. 

Moved by Jean Kuty, seconded by John Downey and carried that Trev D. Wheeler, License No. ACC-92 be suspended for a period of one year beginning the date of service of the Final Order.  Respondent shall pay the cost and attorney’s fee incurred in the investigation and prosecution.  Respondent must also attend a clean needle techniques course, a record keeping course and a professional ethics course all approved by the Board. 

Rayola Jacobsen presented the fiscal year Bureau / Board contract with the Board. 

Moved by Jean Kuty, seconded by Rosemary Yocum and carried that the Board will sign and accept the contract as written. 

Moved by Rosemary Yocum, seconded by Jean Kuty and carried that Jean Kuty has the authority to sign as board chair.  Chair, Therese Hahn was not present to sign. 

Moved by Rosemary Yocum, seconded by Jena Kuty and carried that the conference call meeting be adjourned.  The time being 9:05 a.m.
